As a Future Tense fellow at New America, Steve LeVine is writing a book on the connection between the transformation of energy and shifts in geopolitical power. The book focuses on advances in battery technology. Mr. LeVine is Washington Correspondent for Quartz, where he writes about the geopolitics of energy and technology. He is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, where he teaches energy security. LeVine is a former foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, for whom he was based in the former Soviet Union. Before that, he was Newsweek correspondent for Pakistan and Afghanistan, and previously was based in the Philippines. He is the author of two books – The Oil and the Glory and Putin's Labyrinth.
