Nick Russo is a policy program associate at the Open Technology Institute, where he researches and writes about consumer broadband pricing and affordability issues, broadband measurement, and a variety of other telecoms topics. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, Ars Technica, and BBC News Magazine.

Before joining New America, Nick worked at Free Press where he focused on community media projects and helped recruit and manage volunteers for the National Conference on Media Reform. Nick previously worked as a production assistant at New England Public Radio, as program director of 91.1FM WMUA, and as an adviser to a number of community radio stations in the greater Western Massachusetts area.

Nick received both his Master’s of Public Policy and Bachelor’s Degree with Individual Concentration from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where he studied community and public media policy.
